David Preston is Manager and Licensee at Kingscliff Sales and Rentals and established this Agency in 2001. David takes a very active role and approach to the business in both Sales and Property Managangent. David also does most of the office photography and post processing before they are posted online including drone photography
David lives locally in Kingscliff with his wife Linda (also involved in the accounts and administration side of the business) and has 4 children, with the oldest, having left home early 2024 and proud that he is now serving as a Naval Officer in Defence whilst undertaking a degree in Avionics in Engineering at ADFA in Canberra. His son’s final career will be in Naval Seahawk Helicopters. Three of the other children are at School with two other boys going to The Industry School in Robina both intending on getting a trade apprentiship.
In his spare time David loves spending literally hours and hours in his home garden where he has over 25 fruiting trees including 4 different types of dwarf avocadoes, native limes, lemonade trees and other citris, with the latest being the unusual white mulberry and kiwiberry vines. He also has over 20m2 of raised garden beds where he grows everything from everyday vegetables year round and in our perfect tropical climate including broccoli, snow peas and leeks to garlic and ginger and of course he loves cooking with all these fresh ingredients. He also is handy on the tools, always occupying himself in his shed at home and more recently has been making hardwood Oath native bee hives and keeping native bees for they are a necessary pollinator in his garden. Only the weather is perfect and the winds light he will be offshore fishing with his two boys where he prefers fishing in the deeper parts of the ocean off Kingscliff and Casuarina where he targets pearl perch, snapper and parrot fish to name a few.
